After a series of mudslides and landslides on Wyoming Highway 22, a landslide at milepost 12.8 caused a extreme failure of the pass leading to the road closure.
After working tirelessly for three weeks, Wyoming Highway 22 will be available for use with vehicles less than 60,000 pounds. The temporary detour (open Friday, June 28th, at noon) will be two lanes and includes a reduce speed for 2o mph. If you are traveling in a RV, please note that the detour does include an 11.5% grade.
